Home of the Arts HOTA

Even if you don’t call yourself an art enthusiast, the Gold Coast is home to a top-notch art gallery that is well worth a visit.  The HOTA Gallery will pleasantly surprise you.  This building is a neighbourhood landmark thanks to its vivid, striking facade. It is designed with attention to the Gold Coast’s outdoor way of life.

Boardies and Birkenstocks are completely acceptable clothing.  The gallery’s interior is filled with inspiring and thought-provoking artworks and exhibitions.  It also has a separate Children’s Gallery with craft activities and interactive displays for children.

At The Exhibitionist Bar on level 5, treat yourself to small nibbles and a coffee or a cocktail.  The view from up there is a work of art in and of itself, too.  You can also treat yourself to a delicious meal experience at Palette, the gallery’s restaurant.

In addition, a lovely location for a leisurely stroll, particularly on the sculpture walk or a picnic, is the area’s parklands and lake.  The magnificent outdoor stage hosts a variety of musical performances.  If you visit on the morning of Sunday, you can stock up on wonderful fresh vegetables at the HOTA Farmers & Artisan Markets.
