Experience the best of Paradise Country with our comprehensive day and night itinerary. From sunrise to sunset, we’ve curated the perfect guide to help you maximise your time in this idyllic destination. Get ready for a day of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories in Paradise Country.

Morning| Feed the Animals

Start your first-day itinerary in Paradise Country when the doors open at 9:30 AM. Head to the Farmyard Nursery first to see the softest lambs, snuffly piglets, and jumping kids. You can watch the baby animals dig into their breakfast or feed them yourselves. You may even be lucky enough to hold one of the guinea pigs.

Meet the other farm animals, including llamas, cows, ducks, goats, sheep, and chickens, then explore the Farmyard Play Paddock. Before moving on, capture the moment or rest in the old fire truck.

Once you’ve had your farm animals, go to the Wildlife Walkthrough. This is where you may interact with Queensland’s distinctive wildlife. Just remember to stop by the Wildlife Photo Centre and pick up some roo chow. Yes, the contented kangaroos and wallabies will appreciate it.

Make Lots of Friends

Moreover, you’ll make plenty of sweet furry friends. In the Walkthrough area, you’ll also be able to spot emus, wombats, and Tasmanian devils. Aside from that, this itinerary for your Paradise Country visit will ensure you’ll come face to face with lots of sleeping (or eating) koalas.

If Koala admirers didn’t make a special trip to meet Tallow, the winner of Australia’s Cutest Koala Joey, they would be disappointed to leave Paradise Country. She’s not a joey anymore, however, it is she who is wearing the winner’s sash.

But she’s not the only adorable koala joey in the area. Paradise Country, along with other wildlife sanctuaries around Australia, is a part of a koala breeding programme. They play a big role in the future of the koala species, which is critical to ensure these famous locals are around for a long time to come.

Are you curious in how to distinguish between kangaroos? The Paradise Country team runs a nail salon and picks a different colour for their pouched pals.

Mid-morning | Learn Something About Australia

From 10:30 am, an extensive variety of dinky-di performances are available. The traditional Sheep Shearing and Ram Parade kicks off the excitement at the Shearing Shed. By the end of the show, you’ll know your Merinos from your Suffolks and a few Aussie jokes as well.

After that, proceed to the Stock Horse Arena to enjoy some stories by the campfire, Billy Tea, and a warm damper. Afterwards, I witnessed an Australian Stock Horse take on a quad bike. Shaun’s unique Aussie Adventure Show is the last performance before lunch. A few villagers are invited by Bitzer the Dog and Shaun the Sheep to perform on stage and entertain the crowds with their usual banter.

Lunch | Take a Break

The most miniature (although somehow loudest) people in your group will appreciate a break between the shows and animal encounters, so we included it in this itinerary for your Paradise Country visit. Get some food in the Cafe or Farmhouse Restaurant. Next, take full use of the shaded area close to Pig’s Playground. Should you want to remain at the Farmhouse for lunch, make sure you meet the Marmoset monkeys. They’re curious and surprisingly small and worth a sticky beak.

Once the wipes are out after lunch, cool off at a splash play area called Shaun’s Scraps and Taps. At Shaun’s Adventure Camp beside the Dingo’s Den, get crafty or take a five-minute nap on a bean bag for a more restful break. When the energy levels return to hyped, it’s time to return to the horse (or pony). Children three years old and above will love the calm ride around a lovely green pasture. Tip: You’ll save time if you grab your ticket when entering Paradise Country.

Afternoon | Go Walkabout

Around 1:30 p.m., keep your eyes peeled for the Wildlife Walkabout Presentations. You could get up close with snakes, koalas, cockatoos, or one of the dingoes and learn a bit about what makes them so special. VIP animal encounters are available if you want to get to know them even more.

Take Shaun’s Tractor Ride around the grounds to save your legs. Finish up with some gold panning or opal mining.

Farm Day to Farmstay

If you anticipate that it would be difficult to leave all the animals behind at 4:00 PM, reserve an Eco Tent and turn it into an overnight adventure. Eco Tents are stylish safari tent-style lodgings for families and couples with en suite rooms. In addition, you can also reserve a space for your camper, caravan, or tent, at Paradise Country’s onsite Farmstay.

You’ll get to live out a childhood dream—the one where you’d been left to stay overnight in a toy shop. This time, though, it’s a theme park with all the loveliest farm animals and Australian wildlife.

Feel like a VIP when the park closes to day visitors with extra access to squeeze in one last chat with a koala or feed the hungry kangaroo that has been circling you all day.

Visit the Restaurant

While the crew cooks a la carte dinner-style dishes, you may view the sunset over the hill or play lawn games at the Farmhouse Restaurant.

Like a real farm stay, the Paradise Country team prepares a fire for marshmallow roasting. Also, remember to look up and enjoy the stars, the sounds of the farm animals, and the overall warmth and welcome of the countryside, which serves as a gentle reminder to cherish life’s little pleasures.

Take part in the dawn farm tour in the morning to assist with egg collection firsthand, feeding animals, and milking the cows. Break bread (and eucalyptus leaves) at the Koala Breakfast on weekends for a really unique experience. You will have a steaming meal as the koalas nibble on their luscious leaves. It’s a real memory-maker, and you’ll learn about these Australian favourites from the exclusive education session from the wildlife team.

During the day, it’s great to return to your on-site accommodation for a break when needed. If your Village Roadshow Locals One Pass is active, go straight to Movie World to get your heart rate up or take a dip in the afternoon at Wet’n’Wild. Within five minutes of these adventure havens is the perfect balance for an unforgettable family escape.
