West Coast Fever’s Pre-Season Journey: A trip to the Gold Coast

The West Coast Fever, a netball team based in Perth, Western Australia, will be travelling to the Gold Coast in February to participate in the Team Girls Cup as a part of their preparation for this year’s Suncorp Super Netball season. This tournament is an excellent opportunity for the team to showcase their progress from training to compete against other teams in their league.

The Fever will play three pool matches versus some of the top teams in the league. Among those are the NSW Swifts, Collingwood Magpies, and Sunshine Coast Lightning. After the pool matches, there will be a play-off match on the tournament’s final day. It is where the top teams will compete for the championship title.

 

According to Coach Dan Ryan, the Team Girls Cup is a great opportunity for the team to see how they are moving from the practice field to the playing field in competition with their peers. In addition, he believes that the tournament will provide valuable information about the team’s game. It will also help them sharpen their focus heading into the season’s first round.

Pre-Season Matches Ahead of Team Girls Cup: Challenges and Opportunities for West Coast Fever

 

Before competing in the Team Girls Cup, the Fever will play two games against the Victorian Men’s Team at Perth’s Gold Netball facility. The games will be part of a weekend of matches that will feature fierce competition between the West Australian and Victorian Men’s teams.

The Gold Netball Centre will be the venue for two pre-season matches for the West Coast Fever against the Adelaide Thunderbirds. It will be the final matches of the Fever’s pre-season campaign. Coach Dan Ryan anticipates that the Adelaide Thunderbirds will be a tough team to beat. Also, he is looking forward to playing them just before the start of the regular season.

 

West Coast Fever Upcoming Pre-Season Matches

 

The West Coast Fever will participate in several pre-season matches as part of their preparation for the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season. On Saturday, February 11th, and Sunday, February 12th, the Fever will be facing off against the Victoria Men’s Teams at the Gold Netball Centre in Perth. These matches are expected to be challenging and will provide valuable insight into the team’s performance as they gear up for the regular season.

 

The West Coast Fever will be participating in the Team Girls Cup, which will take place at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre. The tournament will start on Friday, February 24th, at 2 pm WST, where the Fever will be facing off against the NSW Swifts. On Saturday, February 25th, they will play against the Sunshine Coast Lightning at 10 am WST and later in the day, at 3 pm WST, they will play against the Collingwood Magpies. The playoffs will begin on Sunday, February 26th at 9 am WST, where the team will have a chance to showcase their skills and performance against their peers.

This February, children aged fourteen and under will be admitted free to the 2023 Suncorp Team Girls Cup during the three-day pre-season competition on the Gold Coast.

Starting on Tuesday, January 24th, tickets for the Suncorp Team Girls Cup will be available for purchase. Suncorp Super Netball club members, registered participants, and Netball Nation subscribers will have access to a pre-sale from 12 pm to 7 pm.

 

On the other hand, early bird general public tickets will be on sale on Wednesday, January 25th at 12 pm. It will close on Friday, January 27th at 11:59 pm. Standard general public tickets will be available starting Saturday, January 28th at 12 am through Ticketek.
