Cutloose Indoor Climbing (Coming Soon in Upper Coomera)
Although not yet open, Cutloose Indoor Climbing is already generating excitement on the Gold Coast. Boulderers will be spoiled for choice at this Upper Coomera gym. They promise the Kilter Board and the 2024 MoonBoard—our fingers tingle just thinking about it.
If you wish to join Cutloose Indoor Climbing’s OG Crew, they offer their Foundation Membership for only $28/week for 12 months for adults and $23 for youth. Once you’re a member, you’ll get an exclusive private tour during construction. Also, you’ll get to try an early climbing session before the official opening day and the OG Crew merchandise pack.
Set to open in the coming months, the first climbing gym on the Northern Gold Coast will surely exceed expectations. Follow their Instagram to stay up-to-date on their progress.
On Belay Climbing (Burleigh Heads)
On Belay Climbing has raised the bar for high-rope rock climbing on the Gold Coast, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. If you prefer the endurance challenge of climbing with the safety of a rope, this is the perfect spot.
The dedicated team at On Belay Climbing has transformed what was once Paramount Adventures. They modernize the gym to cater to the growing community of boulder lovers on the Gold Coast. This place is open seven days a week and welcomes climbers of all ages. Moreover, it’s the ideal destination for a climbing adventure with friends and family in Burleigh.
Alpine Indoor Climbing Currumbin (Currumbin Waters)
Following its sibling gym’s footsteps, Alpine Indoor Climbing Currumbin is not just another climbing gym—it’s a bouldering paradise. This place has brand-new facilities, including a Kilter Board, a massive bouldering area, a Tension 2 Board, a large spray wall, and a dedicated training area. It is designed to help you become a more vigorous, more confident climber.
With a comfortable seating area offering a great view of the climbing action and delicious beverages, the Alpine Indoor Climbing Currumbin is the perfect place to relax or soak up the atmosphere after a climbing session. Whether you’re an experienced climber or a beginner, Alpine Indoor Climbing Currumbin has something for everyone.
Alpine Indoor Climbing Robina (Robina)
Alpine Indoor Climbing was the Gold Coast’s pioneer bouldering gym, setting a high standard. Despite its limited space, the Alpine team has always provided a wide range of climbs for the enthusiastic boulderers who visit Robina daily.
Whether tackling overhangs or working on climbs on the MoonBoard, Alpine Indoor Climbing has something for everyone. They also offer training sessions for climbers looking to improve their skills. Plus, with air conditioning, it’s the perfect escape from the sticky Gold Coast heat.
Core Climbing Carrara (Carrara)
If you’re looking for indoor bouldering on the Gold Coast, Core Climbing has you covered. With a huge gym that offers all bouldering styles and preferences, from crimping to slab climbing, there’s something for everyone.
In addition, with weekly resets, you’ll always have fresh problems to tackle. Aside from that, with a training area featuring a Kilter Board, plenty of variety keeps you challenged. With friendly staff, a welcoming community, a children’s climbing wall, and various classes and courses for members, Core Climbing is the perfect destination for climbers of all levels. We recommend filling out their waiver before you arrive to get onto the walls faster.
iPlay Adventure Coomera (Coomera)
iPlay Adventure Coomera is an exciting family entertainment centre, perfect for weekend fun or midweek escapes. There’s something for everyone, with a two-tier high ropes course to thrill adventurous souls, a massive arcade filled with games to test skills and reflexes, mini-bowling, and a prize redemption store.
With a cafe for refuelling, a party area for celebrations, and a safe, fun environment for kids to burn off energy and create lasting memories, iPlay is the ultimate family destination.
Core Climbing Cornubia (Shailer Park)
While not technically on the Gold Coast, Core Climbing in Logan is close enough to warrant a mention. Unlike its sibling gym, the focus here is on high ropes. However, it still maintains the quality Core Climbing is known for.
Operating as part of the Cornubia Park Sports Centre, they offer top-roping and auto-belay routes, ensuring there’s something for everyone, whether you’re climbing solo or with friends. Similar to their other gym, we advise completing their waiver in advance to get onto the wall faster.
